It is with great sadness that Seaford College announces the death of Dipo Olajumoke.
Dipo came to Seaford College in September 1991 and settled into the Seaford community and the boarding environment quickly and with ease. He was a member of Millburgh House under the watchful eye of Mr Mike Westcomb.
During Dipo’s time at Seaford College, Mr John Hall – who was in charge of the Rugby squad at Seaford, remembers Dipo as a team player in the 1st 15 Rugby team for two years and was a winger, He was a strong and elusive member of the back division, scoring several tries.
Dipo’s sporting achievements did not just lie with Rugby, he was also a member of the Athletics team and his specialism was sprinting. He was a determined, motivated athlete who excelled in sprint events.
During Dipo’s time at Seaford College he contributed a great deal to the community becoming a Prefect in his last year at the College. He was a very good role model for the younger students, with strong values. He was always immaculate in his appearance.
He was always willing to help and was always helpful to staff and students. He will be remembered for his warm and friendly smile.
Dipo's life was tragically cut short on the 31/07/07 by a car accident in Nigeria. The family hope to have a memorial service in London in October and will advise Seaford College when this will happen. Please see the website for further details.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Dipo’s family and friends and we were honoured to have had Dipo as a student at Seaford College for five years.
